The short version
We collect as little as possible. We never sell your personal information. The checklist tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you tick is uploaded or stored on our servers.
Information we collect
- Email address — only if you choose to subscribe. Used to send the checklist you asked for and occasional guidance. Unsubscribe any time.
- Anonymous usage data — page views and referrers, measured with a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use advertising cookies.
- Server logs — standard, temporary technical logs (IP address, browser) used for security and troubleshooting.
Information we do not collect
- Your passwords, account numbers, or documents.
- Anything you enter into the checklist builder. It is saved only in your own browser’s local storage, and you can clear it with the “Start over” button.
Cookies and advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of every message.
- Clear the checklist data stored in your browser at any time.
- Ask us to delete your email address by writing to hello@clearlegacyguide.com.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
